Mobile Lime Treatment of Bio solids

Agresol pioneered the use of cost effective mobile lime treatment. Bio solids treatment by Lime Stabilisation can be achieved by applying a controlled dose of hydrated lime or quicklime to sewage sludge. This is considered the best method of treatment to produce a valuable end product for land based recycling, both simply and efficiently.
Advanced Treatment is a European Union designated term for the level of treatment which sanitises sludge by reducing the number of micro organisms to a negligible level.
Hydrated lime can be added simply to raise pH, whereas quicklime will give a rise in pH and temperature and reduction in moisture content. These methods can be used to produce a Bio solids end product suitable to be recycled to land as a valuable fertiliser and soil conditioner.

Navman Tracking

Agresol is committed to customer service and are continually looking for ways of improving the way in which we can evolve as a growing company. Our latest development has been to install Newmans vehicle tracking systems on all our vehicles

Essentially, its about providing quality customer service. Our customers need to know when they can expect their collection/delivery, and with this system we can give them an accurate update on exactly where the vehicle is and what time it will arrive.
Being able to locate the closest vehicle, without having to ring each driver to find there whereabouts, makes it far easier to run an efficient service. Before this system was installed, we would have to telephone drivers, who would tell as roughly where they were and give us an estimated time of arrival. Now we can look at the screen and see exactly where they are at any one time and forward this information to our customers. We no longer guess.

A direct result of installing the Navman System has seen our landline costs decrease, and we no longer need to make several calls to drivers to check on their progress.

Prior to installation, the operations manager had to wait until the end of the week to obtain the drivers written duty of care, which contained all the details of goods collected and delivery. Since installing the Navman vehicle tracking system we can now provide accurate details of where and when a product was collected and its final destination. This is an additional tool to our service, as we can now remotely monitor the quantities delivered/collected to and from site.

Composting

Since the historic route of disposal of bio solids to sea was banned by the European Union (EU) Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (91/271 /EEC) 1991, Agresol Ltd has been involved in the processing and the transportation of sewage sludge/bio solids wastes throughout Wales.

As part of Agresols ongoing development within this field the company has decided to investigate the potential of combined sewage sludge/green waste composting as a supplement /replacement to the current agricultural land recycling route for sewage sludge. Bio solids recycling is a classic story of converting waste to resource. Todays highly treated wastewater solids are sought-after soil conditioners and fertilizers.

Recycling of this natural resource is a great way to return valuable nutrients to the soil. All essential plant nutrients are found bio solids. The organic matter in bio solids provides advantages that are not available from chemical fertilizers, such as retaining moisture and improving soil texture.

Agresol is currently in the process of setting up an on-farm composting operation, this will allow us to trial run a limited volume of sludge on site and to investigate the best treatment management system.
